Remember the past, dream about the future, find yourself
During the war, children are born, and the roar of guns and cries of their families follow them.
We remember all that was done, we want to know what happens now, and we believe in the future that will be built by us and will realize our dreams.

Сама баллада была написана около года назад, весной 2013. И вот, этим летом, Никита решил сделать из неё мультфильм.
Быстро нарисовали раскадровку и у Никиты в блокноте появилось много-много набросков. Обсудили анимацию и множество фишек. Баллотировалось четыре или пять фактур бумаги и картона. Поспорив, выбрали один. Особой удачей была бумага для фона – «Крафт». Она нашлась, как это часто бывает, почти случайно!
Когда Никита отрисовал всё начистовую, стали думать как двигать фигурки-вырезки. Сначала планировали крепить их на бамбуковых шпажках. Но они смотрелись тяжеловато. Пробовали прозрачный плексиглас и картонные полоски. Но выбрали тонкие полоски из целлулоида.
Мультфильм снимали два дня (это очень быстро!). Одну ночь монтировали. Несколько часов писали звук. И ещё несколько дней занимались шлифовкой.
«Остров» был готов в середине августа 2014.

About cartoon
We quickly drew storyboards and Nikita's notebook lots of sketches appeared. We discussed a lot of animation and chips. Run for four or five textures of paper and paperboard. After a dispute, we chose one. Particular success was the paper for the background – "Kraft". It was found as it often happens, almost by accident!
When Nikita draw the final version, he began to think how to move figure scraps. Initially, we planned to mount them on bamboo skewers. But they looked hard. Tried transparent plexiglass and cardboard strips, but chose thin strips of celluloid.
